Motion of a scalar field coupled to a Yang - Mills field reformulated locally with some gauge invariant variables

چکیده
We show how to reformulate gauge theories coupled to scalar fields in terms of explicitly gauge-invariant variables. We show in the case of scalar QED that the classical theory can be reformulated in this way. We discuss the form of some realistic asymptotic solutions to these equations. The equations of motion are then also reformulated in the non-abelian case.

Reformulating SU(N) Yang-Mills theory based on change of variables
We propose a new version of SU(N) Yang-Mills theory reformulated in terms of new field variables which are obtained by a nonlinear change of variables from the original Yang-Mills gauge field. The reformulated Yang-Mills theory enables us to study the low-energy dynamics by explicitly extracting the topological degrees of freedom such as magnetic monopoles and vortices to clarify the mechanism ...
متن کاملThe Classical Relativistic Quark Model in the Rest-Frame Wigner-Covariant Coulomb Gauge
The system of N scalar particles with Grassmann-valued color charges plus the color SU(3) Yang-Mills field is reformulated on spacelike hypersurfaces. The Dirac observables are found and the physical invariant mass of the system in the Wigner-covariant rest-frame instant form of dynamics (covariant Coulomb gauge) is given. From the reduced Hamilton equations we extract the second order equation...
متن کاملA Note on the Quantum Corrections to SU(2) and SU(3) Monopoles
We study monopole solutions of the quantum exact low-energy effective N = 2 super Yang-Mills theories of Seiberg and Witten. We review the known facts about the the motion in moduli space for gauge group SU(2) and derive, using the known effective action, some analoguous effects for gauge group SU(3). Introduction Supersymmetric theories with N = 2 supersymmetry serve as a wonderful toy model, ...
متن کاملPath integral regularization of pure Yang-Mills theory
In enlarging the field content of pure Yang-Mills theory to a cutoff dependent matrix valued complex scalar field, we construct a vectorial operator, which is by definition invariant with respect to the gauge transformation of the Yang-Mills field and with respect to a Stueckelberg type gauge transformation of the scalar field. This invariant operator converges to the original Yang-Mills field ...
متن کاملGauge fields and Sternberg-Weinstein approximation of Poisson manifolds
The motion of a classical particle in a gravitational and a Yang-Mills field was described by S. Sternberg and A. Weinstein by a particular Hamiltonian system on a Poisson manifold known under the name of Sternberg-Weinstein phase space. This system leads to the generalization of the Lorentz equation of motion first discovered by Wong. The aim of this work is to show that inversely, a Hamiltoni...
